Terms of Service

Last updated · May 2026

These terms govern your use of LadderIQ (https://ladderiq.co.uk) and the Pro Report. Please read them. If you don't agree, don't use the service. UK consumer law gives you rights nothing here can take away.

1. What LadderIQ is — and isn't

LadderIQ is a planning tool. It runs mortgage math, generates personalised analysis using Claude (an AI from Anthropic), and presents the results in calculators, conversational form, and PDF reports.

LadderIQ is not a regulated mortgage broker or advisor. We don't recommend specific lender products to specific people. Regulated mortgage advice in the UK is provided only by FCA-authorised firms — we'll tell you when to bring one in, but we are not one ourselves.

2. Accuracy

We use deterministic math for all numerical outputs (monthly payments, amortisation, ERC, break-even calculations). The prose and recommendations are generated by an AI model based on the inputs you provide and the live UK market context we maintain.

Outputs are estimates. Real lender deals depend on credit profile, LTV, property type, income source, and other factors we don't model. Tax rules current as of the report's "as of" date — if you read this in 2030, the figures may be stale.

3. Pro Report — purchase, delivery, refunds

The Pro Report is a one-off £14.99 digital product. Payment is processed by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. The report is generated on demand and delivered as a PDF download immediately after payment, with a backup email to the address you supplied.

Refunds are governed by our Refund Policy (14-day money-back guarantee, no questions asked).

3a. LadderIQ Pro — subscription & fair use

LadderIQ Pro is available on iOS as a £3.99/month or £24.99/year subscription (yearly includes a 7-day free trial). Apple processes payment; we don't see your card details. Subscription terms are governed by your Apple ID settings.

Pro includes generous AI Coach access on a fair-use basis. Current caps: 50 AI Coach questions/day, 750/month and 5 Strategy Reports/month per Pro account. Free accounts get 5 AI Coach questions/day and cannot generate Strategy Reports. These caps exist to prevent abuse and keep the service sustainable for everyone. We may adjust the caps over time and will give reasonable notice in the app before any change that materially reduces them.

If you hit a cap you can wait for it to reset (daily at 00:00 UTC, monthly on the 1st) or, if a Boost Pack is later offered, top up.

4. Your inputs and your data

Free calculators run client-side; your numbers stay in your browser unless you choose to share them. The AI agent sends your profile to our server-side proxy so it can call Claude on your behalf. We do not sell your data, ever, full stop.

For Pro Reports, your inputs are signed into a token and carried through Stripe Checkout in metadata, so we can regenerate the report after payment. We do not maintain a database of report inputs. If you submit your email for rate alerts, that email is stored with our email provider (Loops); you can unsubscribe at any time.

5. Acceptable use

Don't try to break the service or use it for anything illegal. Specifically: don't scrape the calculators, don't try to extract our system prompts via the AI agent, don't share login-protected content (we currently have none), and don't resell the Pro Report. The PDF is licensed for personal use.

6. Liability

LadderIQ is provided "as is". We don't accept liability for decisions you make based on our outputs — those decisions are yours, and for anything material we expect you to validate the numbers and bring in a regulated professional. Our maximum aggregate liability for the Pro Report is the amount you paid for it. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by UK law (e.g. for fraud or for death/personal injury caused by negligence).

7. Changes

We may update these terms occasionally. The "Last updated" date at the top will change. For material changes that affect paid users, we'll email people who've purchased a Pro Report within the last six months.

8. Governing law and contact

These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Disputes will be resolved in the English courts.
